As much as I've gotten more acustomed to drawing my human self portrait, sometimes I guess I feel the need to revert back a couple steps. I mean... a lot has changed this year, but one of the reasons I have that tattoo of Corico on my back is to remind me of that one thing that I can never get rid of. She'll always be me, whether I like it or not.
This is one of those time periods where I don't mind. I remember seeing a drawing Nokomis did of her canid self some time ago, where she explained that sometime's she'd like to believe that she was some beautiful graceful creature, but she knew whe wasn't. (Noki, I hope you don't mind my referencing you). It made me grin at the time, as I rather relate. So I guess here's my second self portrait of the week. Grumpy and overweight... that's us! |
